hi there everyone. well i just want to share with all of you something that is going around in the pacific. it is about this drama that has been done by this group in vanuatu called wan smol bag. ok this video has been done by the group which works closely with pacific childrens program. well the thing is that this drama is going around the pacific and the countries are using it as a form of raising awareness of trying to abolish corpral punishments in schools in the pacific. here in fiji i was ask to be in the group that will edit the drama so that it depicts a scene from fiji. well we have mordified it and it is a 16min doc. and it clearly sends out the message on how children are affected in their education if people turn to corpral punishment as the altenative of making children learn. it is really great to be invove in the producing of such programs because it gives the voice of a child therefore empowering the subject. anyway the result of me being there today as opened doors for more work in the involment of child participation and one of my tasks is to advocate here in fiji and the south east asia region the need for child participation. tell me if u agree with my principle of participation, child participation plays a vital role in building a world fit for children.
